The weekend trip to Chicago flew by! We had pizza and beer at Revolution Brewery. The food was crazy good and the brewery is beautiful.
I met up with my best friend Patrick down at Grant Park to visit the Blues Fest and walked around. Chicago is truly the most beautiful city in the summertime. And probably the most fattening since everyone just wants to give you food and drinks 😉 not complaining!

Brianna is on a roll! She won my giveaway too 🙂 Favorite summer cities are San Francisco (also not warm at all in summer) and Paris!

I love going to cities in that are cooler in the summer. In July we usually go to Maine and it is such a nice change from the heat and humidity.
I had a very stubborn injury for a year and a half- piriformis syndrome and I went to 3 chiropractors and PT twice before it finally went away. So annoying! But it really made me appreciate every single pain free run after that.

seems like everyone has been there with some sort of injury, so i don’t feel so awful. i’ll get through it! I’ve never been to maine–maybe one day!

Loving the flip flops and ankle sleeve look! I love Chicago and I really can’t wait to go in October but it must be BEAUTIFUL in the summer! Jealous!

haha I’m glad you noticed. Gotta keep that thing compressed.

As much as I loved living in Chicago for 2 years for business school, I kind of regret that we never spent a summer there (“moved” to Dallas for 11 weeks for work during the summer). It seems like SUCH an amazing place in the summer! Glad you had fun!

summer and fall are the only tolerable seasons there. I don’t know if i could ever survive another winter there!

Sorry that the ankle continues to bother you … I have been very lucky about injuries, 25 years now.
As for city … Boston will always be my favorite. No matter what, it is never too terribly hot. And it is a true walking city, as opposed to newer cities like Atlanta or Phoenix where you need to drive.
And this weekend was chilly here as well – we had a development-wide yard sale, so I was 7 hours in our driveway in 50-ish temperatures.

25 years–i hope to last 2.5 years without one 😉 I’ve never been to Boston, which is why i want to qualify for the marathon so bad!!

I’ve been fortunate with injuries. My problem has been more of a lingering respiratory infection that just won’t go away completely. I love pretty much and southern (east) coastal town in the summer like Savannah GA or Charleston SC. It’s where I grew up so I might be a little partial.

I LOVE Chicago. And really anywhere that gives me free food and drinks. 🙂 Right now I have a little bit of a knee issue that is naggy so I’m taking off the next couple of days to see if that helps. My right leg just sucks. I love seeing that you got some runs in though!
