Wednesday: 7.5m 7:44/pace tempo
Thursday: 18m 8:30/pace (pace ranged from 8:25-8:40)
I’ll talk about my long run tomorrow, I wanted to post a few more pictures from the weekend when my mom was visiting because we had a pretty fun time. After the Nationals game on Sunday we went to see the almost blooming cherry blossom trees and a few monuments.
I liked the Thomas Jefferson Memorial was neat, if you’re into statues and stuff. I always feel like I’m supposed to be all ooooh and aahhhh over statues, but i’m not. I’m over it in 10 seconds. The walls were my favorite though, all important stuff you read in textbooks as a student finally come full circle.
Now it’s time for the Flex Friday pics & winner! I want to say that I did an awful job at promoting the protein giveaway (i was super distracted all week with mom here and the 18 miler), but the pictures I received are amazing and I appreciate the submissions and all my readers! For future giveaways give it a go and enter! The blog is still fairly new and your odds of winning are fantastic!

I kinda like showcasing my readers on the blog, so this won’t be the last time. Hang on to a few race pics or flex photos and hopefully we’ll keep this going!

3&4th? Are you doing another race besides the marathon that weekend? Love your DC pics! I haven’t been to the museums/cherry blossoms in like at least 7 years which is crazy.

it was the first time i’ve seen the cherry blossoms! the day before the marathon we’re doing a Color Me Rad 5k. using it as a shake out run 🙂

DC looks pretty cool – I’ll have to visit sometime. Half marathon is on April 19th – it’s getting close! And our cherry blossoms are out in Utah. Spring is here! Time to get the grill out.

Haha yeah I switched my long run day to my short work day so I could actually have a weekend. .crazy but it’s working!

I don’t have a race planned for the first time in two years! It’s a weird feeling… but it’s also nice to just be able to run freely with no plan. Glad you had a good time with your mom!

heck yeah! It will be great to have a break because once you’re ready for a race it will be like christmas. But for now your life travels are xmas 🙂

Can’t wait to hear more about your long run! I am so excited that spring is finally here…except that its going to be 80 degrees in North Carolina on Sunday when I’m running a marathon…not ideal!

this made me “lol” haha.

Haha you can count on me for some obnoxious flexing photos! Race pics? Not so much. I look like a total hot mess in all of them.
I just laughed and laughed at that Washington Monument picture. Why have I never noticed that before?? Way to go, landscapers!

Your Washington Monument comment gave me a good laugh too. So true! I don’t have any races planned until the end of the year but I know there will be several 5ks between now and then. It’s going to be staying in the low 70’s here all week but it jumped up to the high 80’s over the weekend!
